Project information
WayanGO Mahabharata is a personal graduation project inspired by the traditional wayang adaptation of the Mahabharata. The game features action-based slashing gameplay, where players battle evil wayang characters using movements inspired by the distinctive gestures and choreography of traditional puppetry. As players progress, they can unlock additional wayang series, encouraging deeper exploration of the characters and stories.
In this project, I served as both Game Designer and Game Artist. As a Game Designer, I developed the core gameplay mechanics, combat system, character progression, and unlockable content structure. As a Game Artist, I created the visual style, character designs, animations reflecting authentic wayang movements, and environmental assets, ensuring the game maintained a strong cultural identity while delivering an engaging action experience.
